Nestled on Soi Post Office Thaweewong Rd in Patong, Phuket, Sabai-Sabai invites diners into a quaint and homey atmosphere that embodies the essence of authentic Thai cuisine. This charming restaurant boasts a simplicity that makes it feel like a special secret, waiting to be discovered by those who appreciate genuine flavors and a personal touch.

As you step inside, you're greeted by the warm smile of the elderly owner and her dedicated staff. While the service might come off as no-nonsense, it is infused with a genuine desire to provide a memorable dining experience. The ambiance is casual and inviting, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring bustling Patong.

The magic truly happens in the kitchen, where dishes like the scrumptious Spring Rolls and the fragrant Yellow Red Curry shine as highlights on the menu. Each spring roll is a delightful crunch, bursting with freshly picked vegetables and served with a dipping sauce that’ll make your taste buds dance. Meanwhile, the yellow curry envelops tender meats in a luscious, creamy sauce infused with aromatic spices that transport you straight to Thailand's heart.

If you’re a fan of noodles, don't miss the Chicken Pad Thai, a quintessential Thai favorite that vibrates with flavors of tamarind, peanuts, and lime, accompanied by perfectly cooked chicken. For a refreshing option, the Spinach is a light, earthy dish that complements the more robust flavors perfectly.

Reviews from patrons highlight the exceptional quality of the food, with one customer, Hannah Howe-Wowk, expressing enthusiasm by stating, "We came here 3 times during our holiday in 2023 and back again for our 2024 holiday." She raved about the incredible service and affordable prices, emphasizing the remarkable value for such high-quality food. Zoe Buceto echoed this sentiment, describing her meal as “a flavor bomb,” particularly praising the Tom Yum soup and Panaeng Gai curry for being rich and delicious.

As you savor each bite, you'll understand why returning customers like Christian fondly remember their experiences at Sabai-Sabai, even mentioning that it remains a culinary gem after two decades. The special weekly Massaman Curry, which Melinda loved so much, is something you'll want to inquire about during your visit for a unique treat that changes with the week.

Whether you're a first-time visitor or a seasoned patron, Sabai-Sabai offers an authentic taste of Thailand in a setting that embraces the true spirit of homely dining. A very quaint, simple and homely restaurant. You'll be greeted by an elderly lady and a no-joke staff whose unfriendly demeanour drove away a few potential customers in the short hour span we were at the venue. The food was homely and rather nice. We enjoyed it. :) Recommended dishes: 1. The spring rolls 2. The yellow red curry Ok: 3. Chicken pad Thai 4. Spinach There wasn't a great variety of drinks here so we ordered Coke Zeros.

The most beautiful restaurant in Phuket. We came here 3 times during our holiday in 2023 and back again for our 2024 holiday. The service is lovely and the food is incredible. Money wise, you can’t beat it! Make sure to grab a seat that the fans face and you will love it! We ordered Spring Rolls, Pad Thai, Cashew Nut Chicken and Fried Rice. Amazing!!

This restaurant is one of the best I ever had the pleasure of visiting. I ate here 20 years ago and it was delicious. I came back now and it is still so good. So good. The "Pad See Ew" and the "rice dish I can't remember the name of" is great. The lovely old lady who owns the place and the rest of the staff is fantastic and speak very good English. Oh, this is that place you will miss, and that will bring a smile to your face when you remember it a few years later!

I absolutely love this place! The owners are such sweet ladies! And, their food is out-of-this-world! I had sticky rice and papaya salad the first visit. Second time, we went back for their special Massaman Curry which is only made once a week. You'll have to ask them when they're making it next because it changes. For my last dinner in Patong, the ladies agreed to cook a tuna we caught during a fishing trip earlier that day. They braised it in a sweet and sour sauce. Absolutely amazing! I can't say enough good things but I surely miss them!

This little gem of a place has been open for forty years this year by two of the sweetest little ladies. Their food is true Thai. Absolutely delicious! They will cater to no spicy or more spicy, just let them know. These places are becoming harder to find in Patong but if you want a true Thai feed, don’t miss out on visiting this place.
